Health and wellness technology is becoming more and more prevalent in hospitals, doctor’s offices, and patient’s homes. It’s not hard to see why with 96% of health app users believing the apps help improve their quality of life. In addition, 86% of health care professionals believe that mobile apps and wearable trackers will increase their knowledge of patient conditions. Today more than 29 million Americans have diabetes, and by 2050, it is projected that 42% of our population will be diabetic. Thankfully, many of the emerging health and wellness technologies are being designed to help prevent not only diabetes, but other chronic health conditions such as obesity.
